What information do we collect about you and how do we use it?
Types of Information We Collect
Personal information means information that can be used to identify and contact you. You do not need to submit personal information or sign up for the Matching Services to access certain areas of the Site(s) , but if you do not want to disclose certain personal information to us and sign up for the Matching Services, you will not be able to access all of the Political Matchmakers Features.
We collect personal information when you create an account in order to access the Political Matchmakers Features (“Site Account”); purchase and/or subscribe to certain premium features; subscribe to our newsletter; participate in chat rooms, surveys and straw polls; participate in contests, sweepstakes, or other promotions; send and receive messages from other users of the Political Matchmakers Features, including instant messager conversations; file a complaint; provide customer feedback; request customer or technical support; or send other communications to us from time to time.
Personal information collected may include your name, email address, date of birth, mailing address, phone number, a photo of you, a description about yourself, and other personal information you decide to share through the public features of the Site(s) or in your messages. Additionally, when you subscribe to certain Political Matchmakers Features that require payment we will also collect your billing address and additional billing information depending on your preferred method of payment, such as your credit card number and payment method expiration date. We may also ask you to provide additional information such as a screen name, a password, your gender, your hobbies, your ethnicity, your martial status, religion, location, political affiliation, political preferences and/or preferences you may provide from time to time in association with your Site Account or Profile Page, such as your favorite music, sports, films, etc. This additional information may be associated with your personal information. Any information that you provide through your Site Account, except your last name, password, email address, mailing address, phone number, billing address, and other billing information, may appear on your public Profile Page.
When signing up for a Site Account to access the Political Matchmakers Features, you may associate your third party social networking accounts, for example your Facebook account (“Third Party Accounts”), with your Site Account. When you associate one or more of these Third Party Accounts with the your Site Account, we receive certain information from your Third Party Accounts, which may include your user name for such Third Party Accounts, your age or age range, locale, gender, political views, profile picture and other publicly available information provided through your profiles on your Third Party Accounts, and any other information such Third Party Accounts may provide from time to time.
How We Use Your Personal Information
The personal information and any additional information you provide to us will allow us to create your Site Account; alert you of new products or services, features, or enhancements; create your profile on the Profile Pages; allow you to send messages through the Messaging Services; allow you to utilize the Matching Services; provide regular newsletters; handle/route your customer service questions or issues; request feedback and provide surveys; and/or notify you of upgrade opportunities, contests, promotions, or special events and offers. We also use your e-mail address to send you messages about the Political Matchmakers Features and other general announcements.
We keep track of your interactions with us, including but not limited to your activity within the Political Matchmakers Features. We may notify other users when you have viewed their Profile Pages or messages that they have sent to you. We may use personal information that you provide to us to send messages to you in response to user inquires and/or other requests or questions, to notify you when someone has viewed your profile, to provide you new matches, to notify you if your submitted content has been approved, or to notify you that another user is trying to contact you. We may also use your personal information to contact you when necessary.
We use the information obtained from your Third Party Accounts to enable you to integrate into the Political Matchmakers Features more easily by merging some of the information from your Third Party Accounts into your Site Account and Profile Page with your permission. You will also be given the option to share certain aspects of your experience with the Political Matchmakers Features through your Third Party Accounts from time to time.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. We take children’s privacy seriously, and encourage parents to play an active role in their children’s online experience at all times.
Will we share your personal information with third parties?
Sharing of Information
We may use your personal information to provide analyses of our users in the aggregate to prospective partners, advertisers, affiliates and other third parties. We may also disclose and otherwise use, on an anonymous basis, affiliation, position, interests and other non-personal information about customers.
In addition, we will share the personal information we collect from you under the following circumstances:
Asset transfers. If we become involved in a merger, acquisition or other transaction involving the sale of some or all of Political Matchmakers’ assets, user information, including personal information collected from you through your use of the Political Matchmakers Features, could be included in the transferred assets. Should such an event occur, we will use reasonable means to notify you, either through email and/or a prominent notice on the Site(s).
Third Party Accounts. To the extent you associate your Third Party Accounts with your Site Account, your browser may automatically send certain information to the companies providing such Third Party Accounts. The information collected by such companies is subject to the separate privacy policies of the companies providing such Third Party Accounts.
Additional Information You Should Know About Third Parties
The Political Matchmakers Features may also have chat areas, messaging features, flirt features and/or other sharing features, where users can exchange ideas and communicate with one another. When you post to a message to a chat area, instant message, email, flirt feature or other sharing feature, please be aware that the information you post along with your username may be made publicly available on-line and you do so at your own risk. Additionally, you will be given the opportunity to provide certain mandatory and optional information for display on your Profile Page. Your first name, profile pictures, user name, other information in your Profile Page will be made publicly available through the Matching Services on-line at your own risk. If you would like us to remove your publicly available information from the Matching Services, you can cancel your Site Account by chosing to delete your Site Account in the options settings.
What choices do you have about the collection and use of your personal information?
Control of Your Information
You may update or delete certain personal information for the Political Matchmakers Features by accessing the “My Account” area of the Political Matchmakers Features. You can delete all of your personal information by deleting your Site Account through your account options. Additionally, you can delete any information provided by the Third Party Accounts through your account options by deleting your Site Account. Please note that when you delete your Site Account, in some cases we may not be able to delete all of your personal information and we may retain your Site Account information afterward for the purpose of internal Site Account management, to comply with our legal obligations, to resolve disputes, to enforce our agreements, and in furtherance of fraud prevention activities. You can also change your Site Account settings to block certain users from contacting you through the Political Matchmakers Features or viewing when you are online through the Political Matchmakers Features.
Opting Out of Receiving Communications from Us and Our Sharing of Your Personal Information
If you no longer want to receive our newsletter, e-mails or other announcements, you may unsubscribe through the method specified in such correspondence, which may include through your Site Account settings, by writing to us at email@example.com or replying to the unsubscribe link at the bottom of our e-mails. Please note that you cannot unsubscribe from certain correspondence from us, including messages relating to your Site Account transactions.

What security measures do we take to safeguard your personal information?
The personal information that you provide to us is stored on servers, which are located in secured facilities with restricted access, and protected by protocols and procedures designed to ensure the security of such information. We comply with PCI Compliance requirements and use Extended Validation SSL Certificates. In addition, we restrict access to personal information to Political Matchmakers employees who need to know this information in order to develop, operate and maintain the Political Matchmakers Features. All Political Matchmakers personnel who have access to this information are trained in the maintenance and security of such information. However, no server, computer or communications network or system, or data transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. As a result, while we strive to protect user information, we cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to us or through the use of any of the Political Matchmakers Features and you acknowledge and agree that you provide such information and engage in such transmissions at your own risk. Once we receive a transmission from you, we will endeavor to maintain its security on our systems.
